Mind+AI: Think Better, Adapt Faster, Collaborate Smarter

Mind+AI: Think Better, Adapt Faster, Collaborate Smarter

Strengthening human judgment, adaptability and collaboration in an AI-enabled workplace in a day

Artificial intelligence is changing more than the tools people use. It is changing how information is interpreted, how decisions are made, how roles evolve and how work is divided between people and machines. The most valuable capability is therefore not simply knowing how to operate an AI application. It is knowing when to use AI, what to ask of it, how far to trust it and when human judgment must take control.

Current workforce research reinforces this direction. The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 identifies analytical thinking as the most important core skill among employers, while resilience, flexibility and agility remain near the top. AI and big data are among the fastest-growing skills, but employers continue to place substantial value on distinctly human capabilities such as creative thinking, leadership, curiosity and judgment.

The shift has become even clearer as AI develops from a tool that produces answers into a collaborator capable of analysis, reasoning and multi-step execution. Microsoft's 2026 Work Trend Index found that almost half of Microsoft 365 Copilot conversations examined supported cognitive activities such as analysing information, solving problems, evaluating options and thinking creatively. At the same time, 86% of surveyed AI users said they regard AI output as a starting point rather than a final answer, highlighting the growing importance of critical thinking, quality control and personal accountability. Stanford's 2026 AI Index likewise reports continued rapid improvements in AI reasoning and agentic capabilities, making the question of how humans work alongside increasingly capable systems more important rather than less important.

This one-day programme approaches that challenge through three connected capabilities: Mind+AI Thinking & Decision, Mind+AI Adapting through Change, and Mind+AI Collaborating with Machines. Participants will learn to combine human experience, context and accountability with the speed, analytical capacity and generative capabilities of AI without surrendering their own judgment.

The course is deliberately practical rather than academic. The instructor brings over 30 years of industry experience and will focus on real industry-demanded capabilities, workplace realities and decision practices rather than theory-heavy academic treatment. Given the one-day format, the programme concentrates on concepts and techniques that participants can realistically understand and begin applying within approximately six to seven hours of instructional time.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply a Mind+AI approach to workplace thinking and problem-solving
  • Distinguish between decisions suitable for AI assistance and those requiring stronger human judgment
  • Critically evaluate AI-generated information, recommendations and conclusions
  • Recognise cognitive bias, AI limitations and risks of over-reliance
  • Respond more effectively to AI-driven changes in roles, processes and expectations
  • Identify opportunities to redesign personal workflows around human and AI strengths
  • Collaborate with AI as an assistant, thought partner and delegated digital worker
  • Maintain human accountability, oversight and quality control when working with AI

Prerequisites

  • Basic familiarity with computers and common workplace applications
  • General awareness of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini or similar platforms
  • No programming or technical AI background required
  • Willingness to reconsider existing approaches to decision-making, work processes and professional development
