Course Outline for Wordpress, HTML5 and CSS

This course is designed for learners who have no programming skills but would like to have the ability to create websites using the Wordpress CMS and also customize it to some extent without going deep into programming or re-developing the theme. This course is not designed for in depth theme development or wordpress installation in servers and setting up web servers.

Training Outcome

By the end of this course, the learners should be able to:

• Install Wordpress themes
• Setup Wordpress themes
• Customise themes using CSS
• Modify sub-modules using HTML5 and CSS
• Create content for Wordpress sites using the CMS
• Update content for Wordpress sites using the CMS
• Perform minor troubleshooting
• Understanding of how websites work
• Usage of HTM5 and tags
• Understand how CSS works
• Ability to understand what needs to be learned in order to enhance the skillsets required for additional tasks pertaining to Wordpress site development

Prerequisites

• Personal Computer / Laptop with at least 4GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage
• Internet connection with at least 1 MBPS connection
• Webcam and microphone
• Full access to the internet
• Browser
• Ability to access google drive
• Basic understanding of how giling systems work in their respective OS
• Basic ability to browse, download, upload and use the internet
