Technology and Business: Cloud, AI and Blockchain
Business essentials and a technical development pathway
Why this course
A modular introduction to cloud computing, big data, AI, peer-to-peer systems and blockchain for modern business. A shared overview leads to a business essentials path for managers and executives or a technical path for developers, engineers and technical personnel.
Business modules focus on concepts, relevance, skills and preliminary planning. Technical modules develop hands-on understanding and introduce implementation work; depth and tools are matched to participant experience.
Learning outcomes
- Explain cloud computing components and their relationship to big-data workflows.
- Assess business needs, implementation skills and preliminary cloud planning assumptions.
- Describe AI/ML components, data pipelines and their relationship to cloud services.
- Compare peer-to-peer systems and blockchain/Web3 applications with centralised alternatives.
- Connect technology choices to business requirements and follow an appropriate learning pathway.
