SAP S/4HANA Transition with ABAP Extension Foundations
Why this course
Explore the transition from SAP ERP/ECC to SAP S/4HANA, core business processes and an introductory ABAP extension workflow. Three days combine navigation, architecture, prepared business-process exercises and selected development demonstrations.
The ABAP portion introduces CDS, transactional logic, OData and UI integration using a compatible prepared S/4HANA edition. Classic BOPF/Gateway examples are distinguished from RAP; the final task is a small app design or guided prototype, not an independent full migration or production app.
Learning outcomes
- Compare SAP ERP/ECC and S/4HANA concepts, interfaces and simplified data structures.
- Navigate selected SAP GUI/Fiori tasks and explain development, QA and production landscapes.
- Follow prepared order-to-cash and procure-to-pay examples and inspect common messages.
- Describe CDS modelling, business-object logic, OData service exposure and separate UI consumption.
- Use introductory ADT and extension demonstrations and outline a small business app.
- Explain authorisations, configuration and transport considerations and identify RAP as a further learning path.
Prerequisites
The business/architecture introduction is accessible to beginners. Basic ABAP familiarity is recommended for the development segment. Exercises require a prepared compatible SAP environment, appropriate access and ADT for Eclipse where used.
