Data Management, Governance and Protection for Managers
Analytics culture, programme design and jurisdiction-aware data-protection practice
Why this course
Equip executives, project leaders and middle managers to guide analytics initiatives while organising governance and data protection. The course introduces technology concepts and system overviews without coding.
Use CRISP-DM to connect analytics work to business needs, then develop a governance charter, ownership model and practical protection policies. Legal examples must be matched to the applicable jurisdiction and current regulator guidance.
Learning outcomes
- Explain the CRISP-DM phases and their relationship to analytics delivery.
- Recognise data-preparation, modelling and evaluation needs at a managerial level.
- Structure a data-governance programme and draft a charter.
- Identify roles, responsibilities and measures of programme effectiveness.
- Develop practical data-protection policies, accountability and awareness measures.
- Recognise which legal and regulatory requirements apply to the selected organisational context.
Prerequisites
Basic understanding of organisational data and business operations. Familiarity with financial-institution operations and corporate-law concepts is useful for the illustrative context; no programming is required.
