Course Overview:

This 5 days training course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to operate and utilize Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena effectively. Participants will learn about the features, functions, and capabilities of Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena, as well as best practices for using these tools to enhance their workflow and productivity.

Duration : 5 Days

Prerequisites:

To attend this Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena training course, participants should have some basic knowledge and experience in software testing and test automation. Some specific prerequisites include:

  • Understanding of software testing concepts such as test cases, test plans, and test execution
  • Familiarity with software development and testing lifecycle
  • Basic programming skills and experience using a programming language such as Java or Python
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of different types of testing such as functional testing, regression testing, and performance testing
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver or Appium.
  • Participants should also have access to a computer with the necessary software installed to complete the hands-on practice sessions. The specific software requirements will be provided by the trainer prior to the start of the course.

Course Outline:

Day 1: Co-Pilot Overview

  1. Introduction to Co-Pilot and its role in automating functional and regression testing
  2. Overview of Co-Pilot's architecture and its integration with different software components such as the Agent, Monitor, and Recorder
  3. Navigation of Co-Pilot's user interface and access to different tools and resources
  4. Creation and management of test cases using Co-Pilot's graphical user interface, including creating test cases from scratch, editing existing test cases, and organizing test cases into groups for efficient execution
  5. Best practices for using Co-Pilot to improve workflow and productivity, including how to run tests in parallel, reuse test cases, and create automated regression suites.

Day 2: ASG_Zena Basics

  1. Introduction to ASG_Zena and its role in automating end-to-end testing of applications
  2. Overview of ASG_Zena's architecture and its support for creating and executing test scripts
  3. Creation of test scripts using ASG_Zena's scripting language, including support for variables, loops, and conditions
  4. Execution of test scripts and management of test results using ASG_Zena's reporting features
  5. Best practices for using ASG_Zena to create automated test suites that cover different test cases and scenarios, including how to reuse test scripts, maintain test suites, and integrate ASG_Zena with other testing tools.

Day 3: Advanced Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena

  1. Introduction to advanced features of Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena
  2. Use of the Object Spy and Object Repository in Co-Pilot to inspect and manipulate objects in the application being tested
  3. Integration of Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena into existing workflows, including integration with other testing tools and techniques for version control and collaboration
  4. Troubleshooting of common issues and errors that may arise when using Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena
  5. Advanced features of ASG_Zena, including creation of custom functions and use of advanced scripting techniques such as exception handling and error reporting.

Day 4 and 5: Hands-on Practice

  1. Application of knowledge and skills acquired during the training course through hands-on practice sessions
  2. Creation and execution of automated test scripts using Co-Pilot and ASG_Zena
  3. Troubleshooting of issues that arise during testing and analysis of test results
  4. Creation of effective test suites that cover different test cases and scenarios
  5. Best practices for maintaining and updating automated test suites
  6. Case studies covering different types of applications, such as web applications, mobile applications, and desktop applications
  7. Guidance and support from the trainer, who will provide feedback and recommendations for improving test scripts and overall approach to automation testing.
