Why this course
This one-day course introduces AI-assisted video production from script and voiceover to visuals, editing and soundtrack choices. Participants work through selected tools and assemble a short illustrative video rather than attempt mastery of every platform.
The focus is a coherent story, suitable output formats and careful review of generated material. Tool features, generation allowances and export options depend on the chosen accounts. Participants should use authorised assets and voices and check applicable rights and platform terms before sharing a video.
Learning outcomes
The course teaches participants to:
- Explain selected AI-assisted video-production capabilities and limitations.
- Draft and refine a short script and storyboard.
- Generate or select suitable voice, visual and soundtrack elements using available tools.
- Apply selected editing/effects techniques and check continuity, quality and format.
- Assemble and critique a short video without assuming guaranteed engagement or professional-quality output.
Prerequisites
- Computer literacy.
- Familiarity with video content consumption.
- Understanding of codecs and formats in video.
A laptop and access to the selected creation tools. Examples may use InVideo, Midjourney or OpenAI-supported workflows; confirm required account features, credits, export limits and any costs in advance. An API account is needed only if the selected exercise actually uses the API.
